It is currently housed within Mrs. Thompson’s Herbs, Gifts & Folklore’s herbal apothecary in the Historic Train Depot District of Downtown Eugene, Oregon. The Academy makes available, both in America and Scotland, instruction in traditional and practical Herbalism, nutrition, health promoting lifestyles and healing.

Heather Nic An Fhleisdeir, is the Master Herbalist, Head of Faculty and Director

The practice of herbalism as science and craft, is best learned through study, observation and guidance from a trained and experienced Herbalist as well as from personal experience. Gain this knowledge, learn techniques, observe an active herbal practice and obtain guided experiences in classes, workshops, seminars or through the Professional Studies Course at the Academy.

As a vocational and technical herb school, this specialized knowledge is taught to foster self-care, family and community herbalists, to build confidence, inspire the use of herbs and foods for healing, teaching you to empower yourself and others.
